Forecast Discussion
Thursday, December 18, 2014, 3:00 PM

Synopsis: Low pressure exiting the region with high pressure moving in will keep Rhode Island in northwest flow through Friday with GOOD air quality under sunny skies. High pressure from the Great Lakes will move in Saturday with lighert winds and partly sunny skies. Average to poor mixing on Saturday into Sunday will lead to some periods of MODERATE air quality for particulate, especially around Providence. High pressure should be the primary weather feature continuing into Monday, with potential for some higher PM and MODERATE air quality.
